Bye, Bye Republicans. Hello Democrats!
Congratulations Barack & family!
After 8 years with you at the helm, and then another 8 with Hillary, I think we’ll be back where we need to be across this country.
What a great day!

I may not be in line for a Pulitzer Prize, but to hear Sarah Palin in front of a microphone is down right embarrassing.
She constantly chops up sentences with her train of thought – doing whatever she can to get the next soundbite in for the masses.
To hear that people show up at rallies just to hear her talk is ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC and says a lot about the intelligence level of PALIN’S PUPPETS!
I am so looking forward to Obama’s Administration taking charge and us hearing some real discourse across the airwaves.
I just heard on CNN about Bush’s ‘midnight regulations’ – a nightmare scenario where an exiting President pushes through regulations within 60 days of leaving office.
The law contains a clause determining that any regulation finalized within 60 legislative days of congressional adjournment is considered to have been legally finalized on the 15th legislative day of the new Congress, likely sometime in February. Congress then has 60 days to review it and reverse it with a joint resolution that can’t be filibustered in the Senate.
In other words, any regulation finalized in the last half-year of the Bush administration could be wiped out with a simple party-line vote in the Democrat-controlled Congress.
My takeaway from one of a million recent articles referencing Mark Cuban’s public stance against the SEC:
…an SEC staffer unaffiliated with this investigation harangued Cuban for being “unpatriotic” because he funded the conspiracy-theory documentary Loose Change, which was critical of the Bush White House.
Can you say, “CLASSIC?” I think he’s even cooler now!
*UPDATE 11/8/8: I just heard on CNN that Bush has bought a ‘cheap’ $2M house near Mark Cuban in Texas – ya’ll have fun now, ya’ hear?!
As a card-carrying Democrat, it took a few days for me to catch wind of it, but kudos to our Gov. Sanford for being named Chairman of the Republican Governors Association.
What I’ve always appreciated about Gov. Sanford is his knack at downsizing our SC government and it’s spending.
Sure, he’s butt heads a few times with members on both sides of the aisle, but the truth is, we are a better State because of it, and I’m sure the rest of the country – Sarah Palin [sic] – will be hearing more about him in the future.
Congratulations Gov. Sanford!
(now if he can just get a wrap around those DHEC foul-ups)
Congratulations President-elect Obama!

Since I’ve always had a lot of respect for Senator Kennedy (and his brothers) and President Carter (for his humanitarian work after office), they immediately come to mind, but I can’t think of any Republicans that have been all-around-good-people all their life – can you?
Anyway, that’s what came to mind when I just read The Republican Excuse-O-Meter” from MotherJones.com.
If you come up with any candidates, let me know; I’d appreciate the education.
