Dear President-elect Obama,
It’s time to Repower, Refuel, and Rebuild America.
We need to get our economy moving by building a clean energy future. We applaud your efforts to make energy a top priority, and look forward to working with you toward these goals:
* Move to 100 percent electricity from clean sources such as wind and solar.
* Cut our dependence on oil in half.
* Create 5 million new clean energy jobs.
* Reduce global warming pollution by at least 80 percent.
We call on you to announce a plan that will reach these goals and to use every opportunity including the federal budget and economic stimulus initiatives to get us started.

In keeping with Obama’s campaign promise to fight against climate change, four steps that can accomplish that goal are outlined below:
- The Administration must create certainty about long-run carbon prices – the key drivers of investment. President-elect Obama’s long-run goal of cutting emissions 80% below current emissions by 2050 is broadly consistent with what most scientists tell us will stabilize the climate at safe levels. That should remain the president-elect’s top priority.
- Near-term targets – emissions targets for the next decade – are also important, but the near-term costs of achieving these targets should be monitored. The targets must be sufficiently stringent to send an appropriate price signal to companies investing now, but the legislation should also include provisions to contain near-term costs in case advanced technology turns out to be less plentiful than anticipated.

Now here’s some of the best stuff I’ve ever heard come out of a politician’s mouth – the difference is – this one’s gonna come through for us!
“One of the things that I’m going to have to work through is how to break through the isolation — the bubble that exists around the president. I’m in the process of negotiating with the Secret Service, with lawyers, with White House staff … to figure out how can I get information from outside of the 10 or 12 people who surround my office in the White House,” he said. “One of the worst things I think that could happen to a president is losing touch with what people are going through day to day … ” he said. “I want to make sure that I keep my finger on the pulse of the struggles that people are going through every day.” – Pres. elect Obama. When Obama takes office, he’ll have quite a few items on the agenda that need immediate attention. Not counting the two most obvious ones – the economy and ending our wars. This image displays a few more I learned about back in school.
Here’s to hoping we can kick it up a notch!

Click this Obama poster and you’ll land on a site with several more.

I’m sure there’s one or two you can find to use as wallpapers for awhile.

Michael Moore will be Larry’s sole guest for the majority of the hour tonight.
He’ll be interviewed live on location with a group of plumbers who support Barack Obama – hopefully they’ll all be licensed, unlike Joe the Plumber.
Catch Michael with “Plumbers for Obama” tonight at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT on CNN’s Larry King Live.
Thanks for everything Michael!
